Making low cost changes to your store to increase sales sounds almost impossible as business people automatically think of what the big box stores do, which is remodeling the entire store. Second, increase the amount of light inside your store. Brightness enhances your products. So purchase that extra lighting and make sure every bulb is working. If you have a window display showcase, get some spotlights and illuminate the entire window and get your attention getting products noticed. Stop people in their tracks and get them to notice your store from walking or driving by. Change your window display often to keep it fresh.

Third, have well advertised special sales. Limited time only sales work best as they create a sense of urgency. Advertise your sale in your window display. The fourth way to increase sales is to organize. By organize you need to make sure every product is in its place and and facing the correct way. All products need to be in their proper location. Customers don’t want to be searching for what they want, they want to find it easily and quickly. Unorganized stores cause frustration and frustration causes lost sales.

The final way to increase your store sales is the simplest and lowest cost way. Clean, clean and clean. Make sure there is not a speck of dirt anyway. A dirty store is a huge turnoff. From dusting your products to mopping the floor to clean and well running bathrooms. Spotless is the way to go. If you have old and dusty products put them in a closeout section and reduce them to below cost to rid of these quickly.
