When a customer told us about a competitor’s website copying Fetpak’s Catalog cover we just couldn’t resist, so we took a look.  Sure enough the corrugated box with our name on it was the main feature image on their website.  Only instead of it saying Fetpak on the carton it said “N…”.  Don’t they have an original idea in their little heads?

After getting over the copyright infringement shock, we looked at their website closer.  We found that the competitor also copied Fetpak’s Free Shipping Policy.  Of course this competitor does not carry a full line of packaging supplies, so they are lacking the heavier weight products.  Guess you can call them lightweights for more than one reason.

Our question is, since Fetpak has had Free Shipping for the last 13 years and the competitor was charging for shipping that entire time, then how much money have they made off shipping in the last 13 years?  So now they finally decide to come clean?

Of course our competitor cannot compete with Fetpak in many areas a few of which are:

1)      Stock levels- Fetpak has a 98% fill rate compared to competitor’s out of stock city.

2)      Fast Delivery- We ship orders out the same day if received by 1:00 PM ET.  Them…two to three days, if you are lucky.

3)      Returns- We have no restocking fee and a 30 day no hassle return privilege.  Them…be careful you may get yelled at on the phone.

4)      Customer Service- Research Fetpak’s customers feedback online (oh having trouble finding any?)  Then if you researched the  competitor, Bada-boom, wow, didn’t know a company can get so many people angry.

5)      Price- Fetpak’s prices are reasonable and real.  Plus we give additional discounts and last column prices on all products for large quantities.  No…they don’t.

6)      Quality- Many of our products are Made in the USA, our competitor has all Made in China.  Some of our Made in USA products: Tissue Paper, Tags and Labels, Cotton Filled Jewelry Boxes, Apparel Boxes, Bubble Packaging.

7)      Environmental- We stock many products made from recycled materials, our competitor stock zero recycled products.  These are our products made from recycled materials:  Paper Shopping Bags, Cotton Filled Jewelry Boxes, Apparel Boxes, Corrugated Boxes

So copycat competitor, you can continue to be second fiddle wannabes, or you can come up with an original thought and really learn how to compete with the pros.  Doesn’t matter to us as Fetpak is always a step ahead, actually at least seven steps as mentioned above.

We realize we may have been a little harsh, so we apologize for insulting our competitor.  Now how about our competitor publicly apologizing for stealing our policies and copyright infringement.  Lets not hold our breath.
